With smappen, you can draw as-the-crow-flies areas very easily and free of charge. These areas show everything within a certain distance of a given point as the crow flies. They are circles generated using a set radius.
To draw an as-the-crow-flies area, open the area-creation panel at the top left corner of the screen:
Then set your area’s starting point by choosing one of the following methods:
– Enter the address directly into the search bar.
– Enter GPS coordinates (latitude, longitude) into the search bar.
– Select a starting address from the map: right-click on the desired location > “Starting address.”
Next, click on the ruler icon to select the “Travel-distance” mode.
Now, click on the circle icon to choose “As-the-crow-flies” mode.
Select the travel distance:
Finish by clicking on the “Calculate” button. You have just drawn your first as-the-crow-flies area!
